Update August 5th: sadly this event has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

The new school year is just around the corner, and Salt and Honey Makers Market at Visit Salt Lake Visitor’s Center is teaming up with the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) for a Back-to-School giveaway and event on Saturday, August 12 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

UMOCA (located at 20 S West Temple) will be giving away free school supplies for kids K-12. UMOCA will also be offering guided crafts for kids – and children who bring their completed craft to the Salt and Honey Gift shop inside the Visit Salt Lake Visitor Center will receive a free cookie. And from noon – 4 p.m., Dexterity Salon will be providing free haircuts.
