The 15th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons Books a Wide Range of Performers Across Two Stages

The 15th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons Books a Wide Range of Performers Across Two Stages

Maintaining a decade-and-a-half-long tradition of highlighting some of Utah’s best performing arts groups, the 15th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented by Harmons returns to Salt Lake City in 2023. This year’s festival will feature over 35 acts spread across two stages, the SLUG Mag Stage and the 90.9 FM KRCL Stage.

The SLUG Mag Stage will not only feature a diverse range of acts and artists but will also host National headline acts for the first time. On Friday night, Gable Price and FriendsCourtney Marie AndrewsHaley Heynderickx and Warpaintwill kick off the DIY Fest with their headlining performances. On Saturday night, the SLUG Mag stage will host Sego, a once-local but now nationally-recognized L.A.-based indie band. SLUG Mag Stage will also feature previous DIY Fest performers such as Zaza VanDyke & Something SpecialBomba Marile and Antonio García Lyons. Newer artists to the DIY Fest music scene include indie-pop artist Scott Lippitt; Utah’s only all-trans glam/punk rock group, PEAcock with a Vengeance; and alternative-pop artist Nicole Canaan.

KRCL will also feature newer acts like Jazz Jaguars, known for delicate loungey music, and long-time SLC artists but first-time DIY Fest performers Bucky Cash and The Low Point. Younger artists like Young Spit (an artist geared towards blending hip-hop and world music) and Shapes Named Soap(featuring teens singing about the human condition and gender identity) are showcasing Saturday and Sunday. These are just a few of the artists that the KRCL Stage stands to represent to showcase the diverse and rich music scene of Utah.

Finally, DIY Fest is excited to announce that Aerial Arts of Utah and Joshua Payne Orchestra will be slated to play next to the KRCL Stage and SLUG Mag Stage through the weekend.
