May the 4th Be with You, annual Utah Arts Alliance event

Utah Arts Alliance celebrates geek culture on their 12th annual Star Wars Day, “May the 4th be with You.” There are several ways to join in on the fun, so dust off your Vader helmet and get ready to honor this world-wide pop culture phenomenon with other fans in your community.

URBAN ARTS GALLERY “May the 4th be with You” (May 4, 6 to 9 pm):
May the 4th be with You is a special day for the Urban Arts Gallery. The May “Heroes and Villains” exhibit will be unveiled and artists will be there to discuss their works. Enjoy Star Wars-themed snacks, including the return of the infamous Blue Milk.

This year’s event features a Star Wars Cosplay Contest. To participate, report to the Urban Arts Gallery by 6:30 pm. The show starts at 7:15 pm. Prizes include tickets to Clark Planetarium Dome Shows  and FanX 2022!! 

URBAN ARTS GALLERY Star Wars/Heroes and Villains (May 3 – May 29):
Continuing an annual tradition, Urban Arts Gallery presents, “Star Wars/Heroes and Villains”. The May exhibit opens on May 2rd and hangs through May 29th, featuring local fan art from the Star Wars Universe and beyond. This show invites local artists to submit art celebrating their favorite franchises from popular geek culture, such as Marvel, DC Comics, and other beloved sci-fi and fantasy titles. The result is always a diverse and delightful collection of artwork for fans of all ages.
