Fresh on the heels of the successful grand opening of All Star Bowling & Entertainment and Pins & Ales 21+ nightclub, Valley Fair and The Mix 105.1 are holding a ‘Turkey for Turkey’ event on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Participants who bowl three consecutive strikes, which is called a “Turkey,” will be awarded a turkey to take home. The Mix 105.1 will be broadcasting live from the event. Everyone 13 years or older is eligible to compete and bowl free, and the entry fee is a canned goods donation for the Utah Food Bank.
“In bowling, three strikes bowled consecutively is known as a “turkey,” and sometimes a “sizzling turkey” if bowled on the first three frames — so we’re having a little Thanksgiving fun while we welcome All Star,” said Jessica Peterson, Valley Fair director of marketing. “We’re excited to welcome everyone to the revitalized Valley Fair, with all our new additions including Old Navy, Hobby Lobby and All Star Bowling & Entertainment and Pins & Ales Restaurant & Nightclub.
