Nintendo Summer of Play & Halo Championship in SLC

Beat the summer heat at The Gateway with two national gaming activations in August. From August 4 to 6, The Halo Championship Series will offer a variety of unique esports experiences. Afterward, Nintendo Summer of Play Tour makes its Salt Lake City tour stop at The Gateway, August 10 to 13. 

Those attending the HCS Global Invitational can watch invited teams on the Mainstage at The Depot compete for a prize pool of $125,000. Those without tickets to the completion can still enjoy the best Halo has to offer. At The Underground venue, located at 16 N. Rio Grande Street, everyone will have the chance to become immersed in the thrilling gaming world. This experience is open to the public with a free play center, vibey backyard games, and many other attractions. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

To celebrate family summer gaming, Nintendo is hosting the Nintendo Summer of Play tour to give guests of all ages the highly interactive experience to discover their favorite Nintendo characters and learn more about the worlds they come from through a highly interactive experience. Play Nintendo Switch games, take pictures, and score some some cool swag (while supplies last) while being immersed in the sights and sounds of Nintendo. Located at 79 S. Rio Grande Street. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
