This is the first Woofie’s franchise to open in the state of Utah.
The new Woofie’s franchise is owned and operated by West Jordan, Utah, resident Michelle Bower, who worked in the large chain restaurant industry for 20+ years and was recognized as culinary manager of the year and for outstanding community service, with The Olive Garden’s first community service award. She will leverage her leadership and communication skills and love for animals to provide superior customer service to pets and their people.
Bower invites the public to celebrate the grand opening of Woofie’s of Sandy Utah during the popular Dockdogs Scheels Hunting Expo event at Scheels Sporting Goods Store, 11282 S State St., Sandy on Friday, August 18 from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Woofie’s will provide complimentary dog nail trims and grooming (as time allows), raffles for services throughout both days, and give out free samples of The Farmer’s Dog healthy, fresh dog foods.
Bower says she excels at managing a team to provide the best customer service possible and wants to bring that expertise, and her love for the area and its residents, to her new business.
