“A decade ago, we started Eat Drink SLC because it was time to recognize the fabulous chef-driven and locally owned restaurants, esteemed mixologists, and elevated beverage programs that make Salt Lake a culinary destination,” says Tracey Thompson, President of Vine Lore Wine and Spirits, one of the event’s organizing partners. “And now, Eat Drink has become the valley’s signature culinary event.”
“Eat Drink takes place over two September evenings, each with different culinary and libation partners,” Thompson continues. “Although demand is so strong that tickets sell out weeks in advance, we stay committed to an intimate, uncrowded gathering with ample opportunity for patrons to engage with winemakers, chefs, and other ambassadors of our generous, talented vendors. That neighborly feeling, the presence of professional performing artists, and the beauty of the gardens make Eat Drink a one-of-a-kind evening.”
Food and drink partners—too many to list here but including local restaurants such as Copper Onion, Whiskey Street, Provisions, Urban Hill, Pretty Bird Chicken, Yoko Ramen, and Xiao Bao Bao; Award-winning wineries including Lorenza, Obsidian Wine Co., Duckhorn, and Piattelli, and Utah-owned distilleries Beehive Distilling, Holystone, Ogden’s Own, and Waterpocket. Eat Drink SLC is hosted under a nonprofit partnership umbrella consisting of Tracy Aviary and SB Dance. These two organizations represent, respectively, a place and an arts-maker that contribute to the unique character of our community. Net proceeds support these two organizations and a third nonprofit—Women of the World–a small & mighty boutique organization that empowers refugee, immigrant, and asylum-seeking women and their families to achieve self-reliance in their new home of Salt Lake County. Over the years, Eat Drink has raised over $95,000 for Salt Lake County nonprofits.
Admission includes all food and drink and a complementary signature wine glass. Guests must be 21 years old and over. ID is required.
