The Gateway Seeks Artists for Spring Art Shop Windows

Drive-Thru Art Stroll starts April 17 at The Gateway

The Gateway’s Art Shop Project, a seasonal program to showcase local artists by transforming store windows into visually exciting, temporary masterpieces, is seeking submissions for the spring “Botanical Bliss” theme. From ferns and succulents to exotic blooms and trailing vines, the world of plants is vast and endlessly fascinating, providing abundant opportunities for creativity.

“After a seemingly endless winter with abundant snow, The Gateway plans to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the botanical world with botanical-themed art that brings our windows to life,” says The Gateway’s marketing director, Jacklyn Briggs. “Our shop windows serve as a blank canvas for local artists to showcase their talent in a variety of mediums. We are looking forward to receiving many creative and inspiring submissions.”

Artworks will be highlighted during the April Art Stroll which takes place on April 17.

Artists are invited to submit a proposal to Jacklyn Briggs at jbriggs@vestar.com and Julissa Breslin at jbreslin@vestar.com no later than April 1 with projects completed for display by April 17.  Selected artists will be compensated $500 to $1,000 for their artwork.
