The Utah Cultural Celebration Center is proud to present a special event to celebrate Women’s History Month. On Friday March 24 from 6-7PM, the center will host an interactive exhibit and dance concert honoring the enduring power of women’s voices. This unique event is inspired by The Woman’s Exponent, a progressive periodical that connected women across the state of Utah for over four decades.
The exhibition will feature a variety of artwork, multimedia, and interactive presentations showcasing the history and impact of The Women’s Exponent. Attendees will be able to learn about the publication’s contents and its influence on women’s lives throughout the region.
Additionally, the exhibit will showcase original artwork and multimedia presentations highlighting the ways women share their stories now.
The evening will also include a dynamic dance concert featuring excerpts from Jaclyn Brown’s Matriarch, Myriad Contemporary Dance’s NOTION, and new works by Andi & Emma, and Veronica Harvey Scheuermann. Through music, movement, and spoken word, these talented artists and women will share their stories, opinions, beliefs, and art.
This event is free and open to all ages. Celebrate Women’s History Month with a dynamic evening of art, dance, history, and more.
