X96 Raises $236,277 For The Road Home

X96 (KXRK) listeners raised more money for the annual Road Home Holiday Mediathon than any other participating radio station at the event. The yearly fundraiser took place December 19 and 20, 2022, at The Road Home Midvale Family Resource Center, and involved several local radio and television stations. X96 personalities hosted live broadcasts at the event, soliciting donations from their listeners from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. both days. Monetary donations were ascribed to individual stations to see which station could collect the most money.

The bulk of X96’s participation at the fundraiser was anchored by longtime morning show Radio From Hell, with Kerry Jackson, Gina Barberi, and Bill Allred. “Our listeners, or ‘Friends of the Program’ as we like to call them, are the absolute best. They come through every year with donations for the Road Home,” said Barberi. “The most touching stories we hear often come from people who have used the services of The Road Home at one point in their lives, and now are doing so much better that they are volunteering or donating money to help someone else. It is truly inspiring.”

X96 Program Director and afternoon personality Todd Nuke ‘Em said, “It is beyond heartwarming to know that our listeners are so generous and eager to rally around our commitment to making the community a better place. X96 outperformed some of the market’s top radio stations. Our audience is dedicated and loyal.”

X96 is an alternative rock station that was launched in February of 1992, and is locally owned by Broadway Media, LLC. The Radio From Hell Show is Utah’s longest running morning show and recently celebrated their 8000th episode.
