Salt Lake County to Proclaim October 2022 as Arts & Humanities Month

Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson, County Council Chair Laurie Stringham and the Salt Lake County Council will proclaim October 2022, as Salt Lake County Arts & Humanities Month. The proclamation will be issued on October 25 at 4:00 pm in the Salt Lake County Council Chambers.

Mayor Wilson, Council Chair Laurie Stringham and the County Council recognize that our industry’s purpose of solving complex problems through creativity is vital to the success of Salt Lake County. There are more than 650 arts and culture businesses offering events and programs that entertain, educate and enrich our lives.

October is National Arts & Humanities Month and is an opportunity for cities, counties, and states to promote the crucial role the arts and humanities play in connecting cultures, building and strengthening communities, and creating societal changes.
