SLC’s July 4th Festivities at The Gateway

The Gateway in SLC

The community is invited to celebrate America’s independence in the most festive fashion at The Gateway. An annual tradition that is free and family-friendly kicks off at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 4 with entertainment, food, games, and fireworks. The celebration, centered at Olympic Plaza, will culminate in a spectacular fireworks show, starting at dusk (approximately 10 p.m.). Fireworks will be launched from the West side of the Olympic Plaza. Viewing areas include the Plaza, East Side stairs and upper level of The Gateway.

Popular DJs and on-air talent from radio stations X96 and U92 will emcee the evening while live music will be performed by:

DJ Dizz, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

The Christian Mills Band, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

DJ Jared, 8:00-10:00 p.m.

Kid-friendly activities include face painters and balloon artists with yard games and karaoke appropriate for all ages. Most Gateway merchants will be open late for the festivities.

“We are thrilled to be Salt Lake City’s official hub for the 4th of July once again,” says The Gateway’s Marketing Director, Jacklyn Briggs. “In partnership with Broadway Media, we are offering a safe and festive way to celebrate July 4th by bringing the community together to enjoy local entertainment, food, and music.”
