SLC’s Annual Busker Fest Returns this June

Salt Lake City Arts Council

On June 24 -25, 2022, Regent Street and Main Street in Downtown SLC will be transformed for Busker Fest, in partnership with Open Streets. Appropriate for all ages, Busker Fest will thrill audiences with musicians, dancers, hula-hoopers, jugglers, performance art and comedy acts. This event is free and open to the public. In addition to the festival, we are seeking musicians for Acoustic Music Strolls along Jordan River Parkway coming this May.

“We have some amazing national artists joining the festival this year, and we are looking forward to seeing what our local talent pool will bring to the table. Harkening back to the city’s rich Vaudeville roots, the festival will showcase local talent and encourage performers and the public to embrace street performers throughout the city,” said Kim Angeli, Event Director.

Do you have an act to delight the masses?
SLC Busker Fest is putting out an immediate call for artists to participate:

We are seeking groups and individuals to perform during the festival. Street performance is open to a variety of genres: music, magic, theater and more. These are paying gigs and a chance to build our city’s busking scene. Busker Fest will be programmed in a Vaudeville theme, so please let us know if you have material or costumery that supports that effort. All acts will be considered, so do not let the theme limit your willingness to apply.

Artists and performers must apply in advance to participate. Our deadline for applications is May 15, 2022. The application form can be found at: https://www.buskerfestslc.com/call-for-artists
