Historic Park City Celebrates December with Holiday Traditions

‘Tis the season for wintry twinkle lights, a visit from Santa, and plenty of reasons to visit Park City’s Historic district. Diners, holiday shoppers and casual visitors are invited to support local businesses and join the festivities on Park City’s Main Street next month. 

Snow Globe Stroll

Now – Jan. 5

The Snow Globe Stroll features nine life-size snow globes featuring Park City winter themes. Strollers may also visit Santa’s mailbox and the Main Street Christmas tree. 

Grand Menorah Lighting

Wednesday, Dec. 1

This annual event lights up a Grand Menorah on Main Street at Miners Park to celebrate Hanukkah. Sponsored by Chabad Lubavitch of Park City.

Electric Light Parade

Saturday, Dec. 4 | 4 – 6 p.m.

Park City celebrates the return of this annual celebration as brightly lit floats travel down Main Street. Participants have the chance to win cash prizes awarded by a panel of local judges and can register their floats at historicparkcityutah.com.

Santa Comes Down the Town Lift

Saturday, Dec. 18

Santa’s elves called ahead and are planning to make an appearance a week before the Christmas holiday. Park City Mountain Resort is helping confirm Santa’s schedule.

WHO:             The Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit membership organization comprised of merchants within Park City’s Historic business district. HPCA promotes Park City’s Main Street and surrounding area as a viable, vital and dynamic place to live, work and play while also encouraging business development and enhancing activities that benefit the district.
