Chris Eggleton Steps Down as Newpark Resort General Manager

After more than 16 years serving Newpark Resort, Chris Eggleton is moving on from his pivotal role as general manager. Kyle Osborne, resort manager at Newpark Resort, assumed the general manager position effective Sunday, Aug.1.

“Through the years, Kyle has proven himself incredibly equipped for the role,” Eggleton said. “With nearly 15 years of hospitality experience, I am confident that Kyle’s leadership will honor and improve the Newpark Resort experience.”

Under Eggleton’s leadership, Newpark Resort was twice ranked the Best of State, Vacation Resort in 2015 and 2018, while TripAdvisor.com ranks the property as a consistent Top Ten Overall, Business, Family and Green Hotel in Park City. Although Eggleton will remain co-owner of Newpark Resort, working closely with Osborne and the Executive Team to facilitate the transition and provide continued support and expertise, Eggleton’s next chapter is yet to be determined.

“I have a lot of gas left in the tank and am looking forward to a future slightly unknown,” said Eggleton, “but family, community, and meaningful work will guide me.”

During his time at Newpark Resort, Osborne served as Director of Housekeeping, Director of Maintenance & Housekeeping, and Director of Hotel Operations, before assuming his most recent role as Resort Manager. He held prior roles at The St. Regis Deer Valley and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Administration/Management from Central Michigan University.

“Kyle is hard-working, intelligent, kind, diligent, and incredibly empathetic,” Eggleton said. “Most importantly, he has a genuine passion for Newpark Resort’s culture and the Park City community.”
