Overslept, an immersive experience presented by Dreamscapes and Myriad Dance Company

Dreamscapes Reopens in a new location at The Gateway on January 29

Myriad–a contemporary dance company based in Salt Lake City–and Dreamscapes launch Overslept. This project is a collaboration of dance and immersive art presented with timed entries and physically-distanced performances that play with Dreamscapes’ hidden storyline. Shows run on May 13, 14 and 16 at Dreamscapes, located at The Gateway in Downtown SLC.

Did you know that Dreamscapes–Salt Lake City’s immersive art experience–has a hidden storyline that guides the travel of our dreamers? Let us introduce you to Professor Lidell. Professor Lidell could never dream. His wife, however, can’t seem to escape them. Join the professor on his journey into Dreamscapes to find his dreaming lover. Will he be able to find her? Or will he be trapped in the dream world with her? Enter the re-imagination of Dreamscapes to discover this brand new adventure!

“Overslept” celebrates the launch of the Dreamscapes story, offering an immersive experience in which the audience represents Dreamscapes story character, Professor Lidell, exploring the immersive exhibit in search of their Dream Girl, whose many elusive selves are represented by the whimsical Myriad dancers.

“Myriad Dance Company is so pleased to be collaborating with Dreamscapes to bring contemporary dance into such an inspiring space, creating an unforgettable immersive experience for audiences, with pandemic precautions being taken to keep everyone safe throughout the event,”— Kendall Fischer, Producer and Artistic Director.
