Arsenic and Old Lace at OPPA! Press Release

On Pitch Performing Arts

On Pitch Performing Arts (OPPA!) Layton’s ONLY live Theatre Presents “Arsenic and Old Lace”! Arsenic and Old Lace plays at On Pitch Performing Arts March 19th-April 3rd, 2021.

Made popular by the 1940s film adaptation starring Cary Grant, Arsenic and Old Lace is a farcical comedy with a peek into the hilarious (and often psychopathic) hijinks of the Brewster family. This cast of kooky characters includes two spinster aunts who have taken to murdering lonely old men by poisoning them with a glass of home-made elderberry wine.

This talented cast brings this classical comedy to our stage with a fun, conceptual spin on the show.

Director Henry Ballesteros says “I loved this show growing up. I’ve always wanted to do it ever since I first saw it in high school and I wanted to bring this story to life in a new way.”

Other production team members include Josh Rice as Sound Designer, Colter Lincoln as Lighting Designer and Kennedy Miller as Costume Designer. Brandon Stauffer also serves as Executive Director. Don’t miss our season opener!

OPPA! exists to educate, entertain, and inspire children, adults and audiences with theatrical productions that range from musicals, plays, and new works; we train and support the next generation of theatre artists; we provide arts education programs that promote life-long learning; and we celebrate the power of theatre to bring together our community.
