Utah Community Credit Union partners with United Way for UCCU December Giving

Utah Community Credit Union has proudly partnered with United Way to present UCCU December Giving – a chance to help Utahans get help and give help this holiday season.

All through the month of December 2020, UCCU will match every dollar donated – up to $10,000 – to United Way’s EveryDay Support and 211 service that connects people to resources they need. These donations help support families and individuals who are in need, right now, helping Utahans to make rent, keep their utilities on, and put food on the table.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the United Way for UCCU December Giving,” said UCCU President and CEO, Bret VanAusdal. “With so many families and individuals in need of assistance this season, and so many people wanting to help people in their communities, it’s a real win-win for Utah.”

To make a donation, just visit uccu.com/giving, where UCCU will match every dollar donated in December, up to $10,000 – doubling the good your donation will do for your friends and neighbors in your community.

People making donations may choose which community to direct their donation to, by selecting United Way of Utah County or United Way of Salt Lake.

“Your donations are used to help those in our community get back on their feet after a challenging year,” said Janie Brigman, Corporate Engagement & Marketing Director for United Way of Utah County. “These funds can help local partner agencies, or even help those suffering unique circumstances during the pandemic.”

To get assistance – for either yourself or a loved one – simply dial 2-1-1, visit 211utah.org, or download the 211 Utah app, which makes it easy to find the health and human resources you need.

In addition to making donations, UCCU and United Way invite Utahans to share the hashtag #UCCUDecemberGiving on social media, to spread the message to as many people as possible this holiday season.
