SLUG Magazine’s 8th Annual SLUG Cat Presented By New Belgium Brewing and Sparrow Electric is happening this Saturday! You can pre-register for the race online, otherwise day-of registration will begin at 4 pm at Saturday Cycles. The race will kick off shortly after at 5 pm!

Come out to Saturday Cycles this Saturday to join in on this unique SLC bike race that sends riders throughout the city to solve riddles from their manifest using SLUG Mag’s 8th Annual Bike Issue! Once the riddles are solved, it’s a mad dash to the nearest location to compete in a mini-game and collect points. At the end of the day, the rider with the most points and the best time will win BIG with prizes donated from local businesses.  For years the annual alleycat race has been an essential part of every cyclist’s summer and has given them a chance to come together and celebrate SLC’s burgeoning bike culture. SLUG Mag is always happy to bring the community closer together and to have a good time, but the current COVID-19 situation means that safety must be a priority this year.  SLUG Mag has partnered with Waterpocket Distillery to provide hand sanitizer at every stop on the race, and will be implementing strict sanitation procedures, proper PPE for staff and social distancing enforcement at the event. They have also rolled out a new pre-registration option so you can skip the lines and avoid the crowd on race day! View the full list of enforced rules for the event below and at SLUGMag.com.
