For the past 20 years, the SLUG Games has provided a one-of-a-kind ski and snowboard competition experience to the state of Utah. This year, SLUG Magazine is throwing it back to one of our favorite themes from over the years: Meltdown.
SLUG Magazine is committed to ensuring access to a well-organized contest to all members of the snow community. In order to make this happen, SLUG Mag will not be charging registration fees, so this contest is just like their magazine—always free. In addition to a lack of registration fees, the SLUG Games will host Men’s and Women’s Open Ski and Snowboard divisions, as well as the same categories for 17 & Under divisions.
“For the past 20 years, we’ve teamed up with our favorite Utah resort to provide a quality contest for amateur ski and snowboarders,” says Angela H. Brown, Executive Editor of SLUG Magazine and founder of the SLUG Games. “Every year, we look forward to our partnering with the Brighton Terrain Park Crew to design an exclusive course that rippers of all ages will enjoy.”
The 20th Annual SLUG Games: Meltdown will take over the base of Mount Milly on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Registration for this free event will begin at 9:00 a.m. The contest will be run in a jam-style format, as has been the case in years past.
Riders from each division will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places. These will be determined by marks based on a combination of style, creativity, and technicality. The SLUG Games: Meltdown offers over 26 opportunities for competitors to win sweet prizes from our sponsors.
