Craft Lake City is pleased to announce a new craft workshop partnership with Alibi Bar & Place in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beginning in January 2020, local makers will teach unique art-making projects at Alibi Bar & Place on the third Tuesday of each month. Attendees will have the option to order specialty handcrafted cocktails to enjoy while they engage their creativity in the workshop.

“Craft Lake City is thrilled to launch a new craft workshop series for community members age 21 and over in Alibi Bar & Place,” said Angela H. Brown, Executive Director of Craft Lake City. “Not only does Alibi offer creative drink options, but their welcoming, inspiring space in downtown Salt Lake City makes them the perfect partner for Craft Lake City.”

The Craft Lake City and Alibi Bar & Place workshop partnership will begin with a Valentine’s Day-inspired clay jewelry workshop led by local artisan Bianca Velasquez of Tiny Messy. On January 21, 2020 from 6:30pm-8:30pm, attendees will learn her process for shaping, baking and refining statement earrings, and will gain the skills and knowledge to continue making polymer clay jewelry at home. Pre-registration is required and Alibi Bar & Place craft workshop attendees must be 21 years of age or above.
