High West Distillery unveils its latest round of A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act VII®, a limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye® finished in French oak port barrels. To celebrate lucky number seven, High West invites guests to a “woodland masquerade” themed A Midwinter Night’s Dram Release Party on Saturday, September 28, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at High West’s Wanship distillery.
“Tis the season to toast our limited edition of A Midwinter Night’s Dram® and warm ourselves from the snowy outdoors,” High West Associate Brand Manager Mark Erickson said. “This blend of straight rye whiskeys pairs well with a roaring fire and sweet fig cookies.”
The seasonal favorite emanates aromas of cinnamon rhubarb and plum pie, Orange Jaffa cake, star anise, cedar box and toasted pecan with dates. Flavors are full and robust, bursting with black cherry reduction, molasses, Birch root, fig jam and ginger bread, with a dynamic finish of spiced clove, blackberries, candied ginger, wooden spice box and orange peel.
“Finishing this version of A Midwinter Night’s Dram® in French oak port barrels enhances this one-of-a-kind whiskey blend like no other,” Master Distiller Brendan Coyle said. “We love this sipper best served neat to fully experience the spirit’s many layers of complexity from start to finish.”
A $40 ticket to the Woodland Masquerade includes admission, dinner and entertainment, with drinks available at a cash bar. A Midwinter Night’s Dram® will be available nationally beginning September 28. The spirit can be purchased at High West General Store in Old Town Park City and at High West Distillery on Blue Sky Ranch in Wanship, Utah, for $99.99 per bottle.
