Campos Coffee, one of Australia’s leading specialty coffee roasters, has announced an exclusive partnership with Vans Park Series – the world’s premier park-terrain skateboarding championship.

As part of the partnership, Campos will be the official coffee partner at the World Championship Finals in Salt Lake City, Utah. During the event, Campos Coffee will offer spectators and competitors its range of specialty coffees from a pop-up coffee cart on site.

To celebrate the event, Campos will release a specially roasted ‘Vans Park Series’ blend in a limited-edition bag featuring the 2019 Vans Park Series artwork designed by artist Ben Horton. Horton’s designs will also be on display at Campos Coffee’s US flagship store, Campos Roastery and Kitchen in Salt Lake City, during the championships. The venue will also cater the Vans Park Series official launch party on September 6.

Rachel Pullicino, Campos Coffee CMO, said the partnership was built on a shared commitment to promoting creativity, sustainability and ethical sourcing, and she was excited to be involved with park terrain skateboarding’s premier event.

“We both believe in the power of doing good, using our value chains to create positive change in the world, so the partnership made a lot of sense,” Pullicino said. “Salt Lake City is our home in the US, and we’re thrilled to be taking part in such an iconic event. We can’t wait to help fuel some of the world’s best skateboarders and show off Ben Horton’s incredible creativity to all our guests.”

Horton’s artwork will also be featured on a limited-edition Campos Coffee x Vans Park Series MiiR Camping Mug which will be available from September 5.

Pullicino said the specially roasted ‘Vans Park Series’ coffee blend had been developed by Campos Coffee’s expert roasters and included some of the world’s finest and freshest coffee varieties.

“Vans is bringing together some of the world’s best skaters for the Park Series, so we’ve brought together some of the world’s best coffees to complement them,” she said. “The blend includes varieties from Colombia, Guatemala, and Kenya which give the coffee a sweet flavor full of chocolate, caramel and red fruit notes – we’re excited to share it.”

The final in Salt Lake City will bring the Vans Park Series World Championship Finals to American soil for the first time. Further cementing the series’ mission to grow skateboarding participation, Vans Park Series will support the ongoing development of the local skate community by donating the state-of-the-art Vans Park Series-certified skate facility to Salt Lake City following the championships. Vans Parks Series has also donated its skateparks to the cities of Montreal, Canada, and Chelles, France.

Justin Villano, Sr. Manager-Marketing-Action Sports North America at Vans, said the Salt Lake City World Championship Finals was the culmination of months of qualifying events spanning five countries and will feature the world’s most talented park terrain skateboarders.

“Vans’ purpose is to enable creative expression by encouraging the ‘Off the Wall’ spirit that comes from expressing your true self,” he said. “When it comes to creativity, whether on a skateboard or on a canvas, Campos Coffee is some of the best fuel to get the creative juices flowing.”
