The second annual Bark at the Moon fundraiser for the Humane Society of Utah (Utah Humane) will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 from 5–10 p.m. at The Gateway located at  400 W 100 S in Salt Lake City, Utah. This colorful evening event will raise funds to support the lifesaving programs and services offered at Utah Humane for homeless pets. The fundraiser is presented by Wasatch Front Subaru Retailers, Yesco, The Gateway, and KSTU Fox 13. Utah Humane is a local, private nonprofit animal welfare organization that does not receive any state or federal funding, and is not a branch of any national organization.

“This is a fun community event to raise money for our homeless pets,” said Kaya Nielsen, Utah Humane event manager. “We’re grateful to the participating local businesses and groups for their support that allows us to bring people and pets together for a good cause.”

The fundraising event will feature food trucks, craft brewers, live music, a dog zone, and vendor booths. Participating rescue groups will also bring pets that are available for adoption.

“I’m thrilled to have the Humane Society bring their annual fundraising event downtown to The Gateway this year,” said Jacklyn Briggs, marketing director for The Gateway. “Not only is it an incredible cause but it’s a fun event that animal lovers can enjoy here at our pet-friendly center.“

At 8 p.m., pets and people can participate in a glow-in-the-dark group stroll around The Gateway.

Ticket prices begin at $25 for one person and dog and include admission to the festival and dog zones, event shirt, food truck ticket, and swag bag. Upgrade tickets with additional drink and food vouchers, and VIP access are available. All proceeds benefit Utah Humane directly.
