The Stein Collection properties, including Stein Eriksen Lodge, The Chateaux Deer Valley, The Residences at The Chateaux Deer Valley, and Stein Eriksen Residences, bid farewell to an invaluable team member and welcome two seasoned veterans to the successful sales team. Associate Director of Group Sales, Terri Hulbert, will retire after more than 30 years of dedicated service to the Stein Collection family, as Kelley Shaw steps in to handle the west coast territory. Additionally, the team recently gained Corporate Director of Group Sales, Jim Tolbert, to lead the Group Sales effort for all Stein Collection properties.
“Terri Hulbert’s retirement is bittersweet for us as she has been an integral part of our family in multiple roles for over three decades. She will be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best on her well-deserved next chapter,” said Russ Olsen, CEO of Stein Collection. “We are thrilled to welcome Kelley Shaw and Jim Tolbert to our Group Sales team. Their years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry make them natural fits for this position.”
A Park City resident since 1975, Terri Hulbert began her hotel career at The Yarrow Hotel & Conference Center in Park City, opening the hotel in 1978. She joined the Stein Eriksen Lodge team in 1986 as the Conference Services Manager. In 1990, she moved to the Sales Manager position, covering various territories. She has been a member of Meeting Professionals International for 20 years and has received a Stars of the Industry award for Utah Sales Manager of the Year. When she’s not handling the western territory for Group Sales, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and gardening – which she is sure to get plenty more of in her retirement.
Kelley Shaw began her hospitality career in Park City more than two decades ago with Park City Mountain Resort (then Canyons Resort), and Backcountry.com. She relocated to Tucson, Arizona where she was the Director of National Accounts for Miraval Resort & Spa before founding her own luxury travel company, Grey Matter Hospitality, LLC, serving as a consultant to clients seeking elevated meeting experiences. She has assumed Hulbert’s previous territory as the new Senior Sales Manager.
The newest addition to the Stein Collection sales team, Jim Tolbert has enjoyed 29 years in the luxury hotel and resort industry working at premier properties and companies such as Four Seasons and Montage. Beginning on the Banquet/Catering and Conference Services operations side for the first half of his career, Jim made the switch to sales in 2002. Currently, Jim is responsible for leading the Group Sales team for the Stein Collection properties.
