PARK CITY CHAMBER / BUREAU ANNOUNCES BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION RESULTS

Bill Malone, CEO and President of the Park City Chamber of Commerce / Convention & Visitors Bureau (Chamber / Bureau) has confirmed results of the organization’s recent membership vote to fill the positions of eight Board Members whose terms were coming to an end.  “It is a tremendous sign for this community that so many quality individuals want to give their time to be a part of the Chamber of Commerce leadership,” notes Malone.  “It speaks volumes about the pride our local business owners have in Park City that we would experience such a robust and competitive election for our open Board seats,” he continues. 

Joining the Chamber / Bureau Board of Directors for four-year terms are individuals from a wide range of businesses / industry sectors and all geographic parts of town.  They include:

“The incoming Board of Directors join a strong cadre of dedicated volunteer leaders who have served several years and have created a strategic plan document taking the organization through 2021. The strategic plan focuses on supporting the community’s economic environment, managing our alliances, the perception of our business community and the growth of overnight visitor revenues,” Malone continues. “Collaborative relationships include the town’s new Arts & Culture District, transit initiatives and hosting a future Winter Olympic Games, all of which will result in amenities that enhance our ability to compete in a highly competitive destination environment,” he concludes.

In addition to the new members of the Board of Directors, the Chamber / Bureau welcomes a new group of leaders to its Executive Committee, including incoming Board Chair, Calum Clark of the Utah Olympic Foundation.  The Chair-Elect is Casey Metzger of Top Shelf Services.  Other Executive Committee members include Liza Simpson of Dolly’s Bookstore, Susie English of Deer Valley Resort, Teri Whitney of Snow Flower Condominiums, Roger Armstrong of the Summit County Council and County Manager Tom Fisher.
