The State Room opened on April Fool’s Day 2009 with jazz legend Stanley Clarke. The first run of shows included The Lee Boys, Brandi Carlile and Jason Isbell. Our goal then and now has been to offer a diverse and stellar line up of shows. The State Room is a place all about the music. Everything else comes second. Thank you for making that vision come true.
Amazingly, we have started our tenth year. We can’t tell you if we expected to last this long but we can tell you ten years came fast! When we think back on all the artists that we have been fortunate to present, we are in awe.
One that continues to grow with us and worldwide is JD McPherson. JD first rocked our stage during our 5th year, a very pivotal one, a relatively unknown rising star; think 50’s rock meets soul meets rockabilly. We remember hearing him on KRCL and thought it would be a really cool show for the room. Thanks Ebay!
JD McPherson will be rocking The State Room stage on April 1st during a night that will include champagne toasts, a speech or two and more.
For those who are not able to make it down to the April 1st celebration, we will be offering a handful of tickets for ALL of our April shows for just $10. We would love it if you could help us spread the word about these $10 tickets! The discounts will start on April 1st at 10am MST and continue until the conclusion of each show day (or until the ticket allotment runs out). $10 tickets will be available at The State Room only (no Commonwealth, OP Rockwell, Deer Valley or Eccles).
Tickets can be purchased at thestateroom.com
