The Gateway and Downtown SLC Presents announce the second annual “Last Hurrah,” presented by Strong Volkswagen, Coors Light and Rockstar Energy Drink. This popular local community celebration is back for its second year. The Last Hurrah is the largest NYE celebration in Utah and is free and open to the public from 8 p.m. – midnight.
The celebration will be held at The Gateway’s Olympic Legacy Plaza with live music on the main stage featuring headliner Band of Annuals, a pop-up 21+ only bar with local distillers and brewers, performers, food trucks and fireworks. THE BLOCKS Stage will feature local bands and performing artists to be announced. (schedule below).
The Gateway has expanded the entertainment, food and beverage offerings with indoor and outdoor venues giving options for the whole family to ring in the new year, including a karaoke lounge and the popular Game Room. Clark Planetarium will be staying open late for Last Hurrah and adding 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows for people to watch. Shows will be discounted to $5 all day and they will be open until 10 p.m. for attendees to warm up and walk through exhibits.
