The much-anticipated T.F. Brewing, a new brewery from acclaimed local beer guru, Kevin Templin, will open its doors on Friday, October 26, at 4pm in Salt Lake City’s up and coming granary district.

Templin, the former head brewer at Red Rock Brewing Co., has always dreamed of opening a classic German-style beer bar, and T.F. Brewing checks all the boxes. “This place has been built with our friends, family and neighborhood feel in mind and we can’t wait to share T.F. Brewing with everyone”, Templin commented.

The impressive 8500 sq. ft structure houses a 15-barrel brew house, taproom and packaged beer to go; large outdoor patio and a separate space for private events. Beers on tap include Zitrone Wheat Ale, Kellerbier, Leichte Weisse, American Avenue Pale Ale and “My Son” Porter (an oat style porter with reference to Templin’s son of the same name). Ferda, an Imperial IPA, will be available in cans, as well as a limited selection of whiskey and wine on offer, and 16-oz own label cans in the works. To compliment the brew, a rotation of popular food trucks will be hosted daily.

The space itself has an earthy, welcoming vibe. Templin’s wife, Britt, has an extensive home design background and it shows in the brewery’s stylish oak tables, velvet couches and inky black bar. The open floor plan leans heavily on Templin’s German roots, with an updated take on “stammtisch” tables that you would find in most German bars, typically reserved for family, staff and regulars. Here you can gather with old and new friends, watch the brewers at work while you sit at the bar, lounge on the couches in the back or head outside to the cozy fire pits. The space also features the Barrel House, a light, airy room that will be available for private events.

T. F. Brewing is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 11am to 11pm, with food trucks on site from 12pm to 10pm daily.
