Park City Restaurants Announce Thanksgiving Specials

More than a dozen local restaurants and caterers are offering a host of delicious specials, meals and more, sure to make a perfect, stress-free special occasion whether you eat-in or dine-out.

“We have the best chefs in the Country here in Park City – sit back, relax, and let them do all the work this Thanksgiving. And then, of course, dig in,” PCARA executive director Ginger Ries said.

Between formal multi-course dinners, casual buffets, or catered fare, you’ll find the dinner that’s right for you, your family and your friends. Read on for a rundown of the meals and other items being offered this Thanksgiving, which this year falls on Nov. 22:

The Brass Tag at Deer Valley Resort
Prix fixe, $49
The award-winning brick-oven restaurant is serving a three-course prix fixe sure to please: Enjoy a choice of roasted butternut squash soup or baby greens and arugula salad, followed a choice of by maple glazed brick oven roasted turkey, oven roasted prime rib or quinoa-stuffed acorn squash. Dessert is pumpkin cheesecake or classic apple pie.

Butcher’s Chop House
Prix fixe, $35 for adults, $18 for children.
Regular a la carte menu also available.
Fill up your plate with this two-course “Full Platter” prix fixe. Dig into turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, garlic green beans and candied yams, followed by a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie for dessert. Butcher’s full dinner menu will also be available, although the restaurant will not be offering its fall 2-for-1 special Thanksgiving Day.

For those looking for something different than the typical Thanksgiving fare, Cena will be serving its raved-about summer menu this holiday. Enjoy selections such as fried clams, small heirloom tomatoes, olive oil basted cuttlefish, and pork belly agnolotti, plus pizzettas, fresh salads, and classic Italian selections like sausage and rosemary linguine, wild boar mushroom ragu and garganelli, grilled balsamic ribeye, cioppino stew and much more.

This go-to spot for gourmet take-home selections is once again offering Thanksgiving classics sure to please. Round out your Thanksgiving meal with selections such as roasted garlic mashers, roasted butternut squash, green bean au gratin, or wild mushroom stuffing, plus sides of lemon thyme sauce or cranberry chutney. No less than seven pies are on offer, from apple cheddar to chocolate silk to traditional pumpkin, plus caramel apple cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, a pumpkin Swiss roll, wild rice harvest bread and French baguette. Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. Nov. 19 and picked up by 6 p.m. Nov. 21.

The Eating Establishment
A la carte
If delicious comfort food is your thing, the Eating Establishment will be open Thanksgiving Day serving its longtime locals-favorite menu.

Flanagan’s on Main
Prix fixe, $29.95
Dig into a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at this Main Street mainstay. Start with a fresh salad, followed by turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a dinner roll. Pumpkin bread pudding will be on offer for dessert.

Grub Steak
Prix fixe, $34.75 for adults, $17.75 for children ages 12 and younger
This longtime Park City favorite is serving a delectable Thanksgiving feast, starting with butternut and gala apple soup, followed by Caesar salad or Park City’s best salad bar. But be sure not to fill-up: the main course features carve roasted turkey with autumn harvest stuffing, savory turkey stock gravy, garlic butter green beans, homemade creamy mashers and fresh citrus cranberry relish, plus oat and barley beer bread and sourdough baguette. Dessert is a mouthwatering choice of pumpkin pie with vanilla bean whip cream or spiced apple bread pudding with High West bourbon sauce.

The hotel and its restaurants are celebrating Thanksgiving nearly all weekend long. Dig into a sumptuous buffet at Apex from 12-8 p.m. A “grab-and-go” roasted turkey dinner with all the fixings, serving up to eight people, will also be on offer. For those staying at Montage, in-room delivery service is available for $500. Montage is also hosting a range of events through Saturday, including cookie and ornament decorating classes, s’mores making, a scavenger hunt, “turkey-shoot” turkey-themed archery lessons, and more, all capped by Montage’s fifth annual tree lighting Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

No Name Saloon
Free(!) buffet
For 18th straight year, this long-time locals favorite is welcoming all its friends and neighbors for a free Thanksgiving buffet with all the trimmings. The feasting starts at 2 p.m., and anyone 21 years of age and older is welcome.

Powder at Waldorf Astoria Park City
Prix Fixe, $55 for adults, $35 for children ages 4-12
Share a home-cooked family-style meal with friends and loved ones at Powder. Enjoy a choice of roasted butternut squash soup or goat cheese salad, followed by organic turkey roasted breast and confit of leg or 14-hour short rib of beef. Dessert is pumpkin mousse or Utah apple crumble or flourless chocolate terrine.

Riverhorse Provisions
Carry-out dinner for two $42
Riverhorse Provisions will offer a carry-out holiday menu including artichoke and tomato caprese, ginger orange glazed carrots, wild game meatballs, roasted turkey and gravy, cranberry chutney, classic sage stuffing, mashed potatoes and rolls and butter.
